Day 1

ARRIVE RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, the city of mountains and sea, samba and carnival, and a relaxed way of life. You are transferred to your hotel along Copacabana Beach.

In the afternoon Drive to "Praia Vermelha" (Red beach), to take the two stage car up to the top of Sugar Loaf (270m), which grants the entrance to Rio's harbor and Guanabara Bay. The Italian made cable car holds 80 passengers and each of the two stages takes two minutes. The first stage is Morro da Urca with 170m, with a snack bar, amphitheater and helicopter-point. The second stage goes on the Sugar Loaf itself, thus named for its resemblance to the loaves of sugar used by the Portuguese at the time of the city's discovery.

Day 2

RIO DE JANEIRO

Jeep tour to the Parque Nacional da Tijuca / Tijuca National Forest is the only national forest found in the middle of a city in the world. The tour makes one see the city from another angle and realize how incredible it is for a city to have an Atlantic forest within easy reach to all. On the way, a stop at Vista Chinesa/Chinese View with a panorama of Rio – the bay, Sugar Loaf and Corcovado and the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon. Further on we pass by the Mesa do Imperador / Emperor´s Table where the royal family used to picnic. Entering the park gate, a short stop at the Taunay Waterfall known as Cascatinha and the quaint Mayrink Chapel. Stopping the vehicle at a clearing, tour members will take a trail for a level ground trek, it is difficult to believe that one is in the middle of a cosmopolitan city such as Rio de Janeiro. While trekking, the guide will give explanations on the tropical forest and its importance. After this you will visit the Corcovado gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer (2.300ft above sea level). A modern swiss-made cogwheel rail climbs the mountain from its base at 15meters almost to the summit at 710 meters. The trip up takes 17 minutes aprox, at a maximum speed of 15km/h. The trip down takes 22min. At a speed of 12km/h.

Day 3

RIO DE JANEIRO

The day is at leisure to relax on the beach or if you like your guide can offer you an optional tour.

Day 4

RIO DE JANEIRO / MANAUS / RIVER CRUISE

Transfer to Airport to depart to Manaus to start a river cruise. After arrival in Manaus our guide will transfer you to your comfortable riverboat. Navigate upstream on a tributary of the Rio Negro. Canoe trip with the possibility of observing nocturnal animals and perceiving the change in the forest as night falls. linea

Day 5

RIVER CRUISE

Walk in the forest to observe the flora. Visit a "Caboclo" family to see the local way of life. Navigate through the Anavilhanas, the world's largest fresh water archipelago, more than 1,000 miles from the ocean. Take a night trip to see caimans and possibly frogs, sloths, snakes, and other species, depending on the season.

Day 6

RIVER CRUISE

Visit the village of Novo Airão, with its handcraft boat yards, sawmills and market. Take a canoe trip on a lake. See typical rubber trees, Brazil nuts, and various palm trees. Piranha fishing.

Day 7

RIVER CRUISE / MANAUS

Canoe to Lake January for sunrise birding and to see the giant Victoria Regia water lilies. Then, navigate to the Meeting of the Waters, before disembarking at your hotel.

Day 8

MANAUS / SALVADOR DA BAHIA

Transfer to the airport for a flight to your next destination Salvador.

Bahia represents the cultural soul of Brazil. All the components that give this nation its special flavor and flair—music, dance, literature, cuisine, folklore and faith—were greatly influenced by Bahia. Here, the traveler will discover a city rich in heritage and tradition. The area is also famous for its beautiful beaches and islands, many of which offer remote and undisturbed solitude.

Day 9

SALVADOR

In the morning, you will be guided on a half-day tour of Bahia. Historical museums, colonial mansions and some of the oldest churches in Brazil are included in this tour. Salvador was the first capital of Brazil, administering the colony from 1549 to 1763. During the ensuing booms fueled by sugarcane, cocoa, lumber and coffee, Bahia became one of Brazil's wealthiest states. This faded wealth is still evident in the beautiful baroque churches and buildings that dot the city.

Day 10

SALVADOR – CACHOEIRA

Today we will visit the Reconcavo Baiano: Area surrounding the Bay of All Saints, considered the second major agriculture center in Colonial Brazil. We leave the city behind and drive through oldest farmland in Brazil, land of sugar-cane plantations, peaceful colonial towns and busy country markets. Then we arrive to CACHOEIRA - National Historic City – Monument, known as the Bahia's Ouro Preto.

We have lunch at an old colonial farm. Thereafter, walking tour around the cobblestones streets of this enchanting City, visiting some of its attractions such as local old market; old city hall and jail; holy house of Misericordity, Boa Morte Sisterhood and a cigar hand-made factory (Closed on Sundays and Mondays) among others.

Day 11

SALVADOR / IGUASSU FALLS

Transfer to the airport for a flight to your next destination Iguassu Falls.

Iguassu Falls, located in the Parana State, is itself an attraction. Iguassu Falls is the municipality where the main tourist attractions go hand-in-hand with the most exuberant scenery provided by nature and mankind. In the "Land of the Falls", it is possible to take in the splendor of the native and man-made forests, rivers and lakes, and still in this ecological paradise, have the opportunity to shop for the most varied products, not only in Iguassu Falls but in Ciudad del Leste (Paraguay) and Puerto Iguaçu (Argentina) as well.

After Arrival you will escorted by our guide to the Hotel. In the morning: tour of the Brazilian side of the Falls - Tour starts walking from the Hotel. Located inside the Brazilian side of National Iguassu Park, a walk is undertaken inside the sub-tropical forest during 45 minutes.

Day 12

IGUASSU FALLS

Today, visit Iguassu from the Argentine side for a more extensive experience of the falls and surrounding rainforest. Walk along the lower and upper trails and take a train ride to the crashing spray of Devil's Throat, and follow boardwalks to the brink of the falls, for many fantastic.

Day 13

IGUASSU FALLS / HOME

After a morning at leisure, transfer to the airport for your flight back to home.
