Transfer from your hotel to the airport

Short flight over the Royal Range to Cusco. Arrival and Transfer to the hotel.

In the afternoon City Tour in Cusco including the Santo Domingo Convent Monastery, the legendary Koricancha “Site of Gold”, the most important temple devoted to worshiping the sun and its walls were plated with sheets of gold; the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral.

After seeing the most interesting sites of the city, drive to the surroundings of Cusco to visit some of the remarkable Inca ruins in the area: the cult centre of Sacsayhuaman, the Temple and Amphitheatre of Kenko, and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara.

The morning is at leisure.

In the early afternoon transfer to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival take the train to Aguas Calientes (leaving 15:05 or 16:03). Arrival and accommodation at your hotel.

In the morning, take a 25-minute motor coach ride to “The Lost City of the Incas" Machu Picchu, which was discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. Take a guided tour of the marvelous citadel visiting the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds. Lunch at the Restaurant Hanaqpacha.

In the afternoon return by train to Ollantaytambo (leaving Aguas Calientes 15:50 or 16:50) and overland transportation to Cusco.

Transfer to the bus station

Take a Regular Tourist Bus to Puno for an interesting trip crossing the highland plateau. On route you visit some archaeological sites such as Raqchi, Pukara. Lunch at a local restaurant Upon arrival in Puno, assistance at the bus station and transfer to the hotel.

Transfer from your hotel to Copacabana. Upon arrival in Copacabana you board a hydrofoil, which takes you to the famous Moon- & Sun Islands. Lunch on Sun Island. Return to Copacabana, where you visit the shrine of the famous “Mamita del Lago”. Transfer to Huatajata. Upon arrival visit of the Andean Roots Eco Village with its Altiplano Musem.

In the morning optional tour (pre-booking): drive to the Tiwanaku Ruins, here you visit the archaeological site of the Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasasaya and the semi subterraneous Temple of Kontiki, the aqueducts and the famous Sun Gate and its carved in symmetric signs. Tiwanaku is also called the “Cradle of the American Culture”.

Transfer to La Paz. In the afternoon City Tour. The city of contrasts represents a unique blend of cultures and races. Indian markets, the Witch Doctor market, the main square Plaza Murillo and the Moon Valley are the local main attractions.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Uyuni. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Excursion to visit the Salt Lake including Isla Pescado and Thunupa Volcano. This is the largest salt flat on Earth, located on the Bolivian Andean Altiplano with more than 10.000 square Km; the Bolivian Andes offer stunning sceneries which can be hardly matched. The sound of silence makes the heart beat faster and the surreal pentagons of crystalline salt, the pure sky, the color lagoons, the cacti and the flamingos, will certainly make you feel that there is no other place like this in the whole world.

Lunch at Isla Pescado, also called “Incawasi”, an oasis with formations of algae and fossils. It is covered by thousands of giant columnar cacti, which get to be more than a hundred years old, growing to a height of over 7 mtrs. The landscape against the background of the salt pans extending to the horizon makes it an ideal place for photography lovers.

DAY 10


Overland drive in 4x4 to San Pedro de Atacama visiting on route: The Laguna Colorada, with an area of 60 km2, at an altitude of 4,278 mtrs. It is characterized by the red tone of its waters and it is inhabited by three species of flamingoes: tokoko -with red plumage-; chururu -with whitish plumage- and jututu, with pink plumage. The scenery is exceptionally beautiful and it is considered to be the most important flamingo watching site in the region. Also Vicuñas, Llamas and Vizcachas can be seen. Box lunch included. Continue to Green lagoon, which water surface has the appearance of a giant emerald. From this Lagoon there is an impressive view of Licancabur Volcano, at an altitude of 5,865 mtrs. The special brightness of the green waters in the afternoon is dazzling. The intensely green coloring is due to their high magnesium content.

After crossing the border, bus transfer to San Pedro de Atacama.

DAY 11


In the morning overland drive to the Salt Flats of Atacama. On route visit the village Toconao, where the houses and church is built out of white vulcanic stone giving this place its own character.

On a small, green main square you find the tower separated from the church. Continue to the 3000 km2 Salt Flats, rich in minerals as Borax and Lithium and home to different Flamingos species. The Chaxa Lagoon, part of the “National Flamingo Reserve”, offers great options to watch these birds up close in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon visit the Moon Valley – Valle de la Luna – to enjoy this bizarre, moon resembling landscape. The Lincancabur Volcano in the back round makes this excursion unforgettable.

DAY 12


Early in the morning optional tour to the Geysers El Tatio (pre-booking). The Geysers lie at an altitude of 4.500 m over sea level on the high plateau and give their visitors a spectacular show. You find around 40 Geysers and thermal fountains, all bubbling and sizzling meters high. The morning sun gazing upon them lets them shine in different colors.

In the afternoon transfer to the airport of Calama for your flight to Santiago. On route you see the incomparable „Cordillera de la Sal“ – the Salt Mountains. Arrival in Santiago and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 13

Day at leisure for optional tours

Optional tour to Valparaíso (pre-booking)

Impressing tour to Valparaíso, the oldest port of Chile. Also the Congress and the Senat reside in this lively city by the sea, where they were moved from Santiago after the democracy and with it the National Congress was restored in 1989. During your City Tour you visit the Government Buildings, the Plaza Sotomayor, the Plaza Victoria, the cathedral and the port district.

High over the city you find many colorful houses. The upper and lower parts of the city are connected through 16 different lifts, which were built around 1900 and still work day in day out. From Valparaiso you drive to the beaches of Viña Mar, called the city of gardens due to its many parks and green areas. You walk through one of the most famous parks Quinta Vergara where you find the Amphitheater and the Museum of the “Beautiful Arts”. Viña del Mar is an active city with sand beaches, modern hotels, first class restaurants, elegant bars and the Casino, built 1932. At sunset return to Santiago.

DAY 14

In the morning City Tour in Santiago including the historical center and the mountain San Cristóbal, from where you have a splendid view over the city and the close by Andes.

Visit the Presidential Palast, La „Moneda“, the main square called Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, the „Palacio de la Real Audiencia“- now home to the History Museum and the “Casa Colonial”- the residence of the governor during the colonial times.

Drive through the noble area of Santiago and its elegant stores, very good restaurants and some futuristic skyscrapers before returning to your hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
