Today you arrive to Peru. At arrival transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2

LIMA – AREQUIPA B / - / -

City tour of Arequipa, also known as "the White City" because of the white volcanic rock, used in its buildings. You visit the beautiful Santa Catalina convent, founded in 1580. This convent is an almost self-sustained village, made up of houses for the nuns and their servants, cloisters, plazas and narrow streets, kitchens, refectory and laundry. From there proceed to the Jesuit Church, where you may be impressed by the beauty of its facade, considered the best example of the mestizo baroque style in Arequipa. The ancient vestry is particularly beautiful with its cupola and walls covered in murals representing the jungle. The ancient Jesuit seminary is famous for its beautiful principal cloister. After visiting the Main Square continue to the residential districts of Yanahuara and Chilina, where you have a magnificent view of Arequipa's countryside and the Misti volcano.

 

DAY 3

AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON B / L / -

Early morning departure for a two-day overland trip to the awesome Colca Valley. Drive across Pampa Canahuas within the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, the habitat of vicunas. Admire beautiful pre-Columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas.

DAY 4

COLCA CANYON – AREQUIPA B / L / -

Morning departure to visit the towns of Yanque, Maca, Achoma and Pinchollo. Proceed to the 'Condors' Cross', observation point from where you can view these great Andean birds. Impressive panorama of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world (3,000 mts/ 9,800 ft).

DAY 5

AREQUIPA – LA PAZ B / - / -

Transfer to the airport for flight to La Paz. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel.

DAY 6

LA PAZ – UYUNI B / L / D

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Uyuni. Arrival in Uyuni and transfer to your hotel.

Visit to the Salt Lake Uyuni and its Isla Pescado. This is the largest salt flat on earth, located on the Bolivian Andean Altiplano with over 10.000 square Km; the Bolivian Andes offer stunning sceneries which can be hardly matched. The sound of silence makes the heart beats faster and the surreal pentagons of crystalline salt, the pure sky, the color lagoons, the cacti and the flamingos, will certainly make you feel that there is no other place like this in the whole world.

Lunch at Isla Pescado, also called “Incawasi”, an oasis with formations of algae and fossils. It is covered by thousands of giant columnar cacti, which can be more than a hundred years old, growing to a height of over 12 meters.

The landscape against the background of the salt pans extending to the horizon makes it an ideal place for photography hunters.

DAY 7

UYUNI – LA PAZ B / - / -

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to La Paz. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

In the afternoon City Tour including the Moon Valley. The City of La Paz and its surroundings can transport you to a mysterious past where any corner, any street, is a hidden treasure where adventure begins; a living history which treasures the pre Hispanic times with all their traditions and magic rites on its streets. The indigenous, colonial and modern areas, Indian

Market, Witch Doctor's Market & breathtaking panoramas are all framed by the majestic "Illimani" mountain. Visit the Moon Valley, a clay formation resembling the face of the Moon.

DAY 8

LA PAZ – HUATAJATA/LAKE TITICACA B / - / D

Transfer from your hotel to Huatajata at the shores of Lake Titicaca. Upon arrival Visit the Andean Roots Eco-Village and the Altiplano Museum.

Night experiences in the Mystical World of the Kallawaya and the Alajpacha Observatory.

DAY 9

HUATAJATA – PUNO B / L / -

Overland journey to Copacabana. Upon arrival in Copacabana visit the famous “Mamita del Lago”. Afterwards you board a hydrofoil, which takes you to the famous Moon- & Sun Islands. Lunch on Sun Island. Return by hydrofoil to Copacabana and overland journey to Puno.

DAY 10

PUNO - CUSCO B / L / -

Take a touristic bus to Cusco along the dramatic landscapes of the highland plateau, with occasional views of tiny Andean villages and herds of llamas and vicunas. Stop at the archaeological site of Pukara (200BC-AD300).

Second stop at Raqchi, where there is an Inca temple built to worship Wiracocha, one of the most important Inca gods. Finally stop at Andahuaylillas, where there is a beautiful baroque church built at the beginning of the XVIIth century.It is very well known thanks to its beautiful mural paintings.

DAY 11

CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY B / L / -

Allin Hamusqa Kapaychik!! This means welcome in Quechua, the official language of the Incas. Visit of Awanakancha, a farm of South American camelids and showroom of textiles, where local families show the entire traditional process of weaving and making garments. Afterwards visit the Pisac Market, with its many stands of products made by the people of the area. You may find textiles, carvings and replicas of old Inca ceramic. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Then visit Ollantaytambo, whre you find a perfect example of the Incas urban planning and their residents still live by their old traditions. Pachacutec (1438-1471) conquered the town and built over the same his new Inca version of the same. Transfer to Urubamba Valley

DAY 12

SACRED VALLEY – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO B / L / -

In the morning you transfer to Ollantaytambo station to board the train towards Machu Picchu. Upon arrival to the station you take a 25-minute motor coach ride to "The Lost City of the Incas", which was discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. Enjoy a guided tour of the marvellous citadel, a unique awe-inspiring experience. Afterwards, stroll around the archaeological site.

To further enhance your travel experience, we recommend you to visit the private art gallery: "Machu Pictures - Inspiring Views of the Sanctuary", located within Cafe Inkaterra in Machu Picchu pueblo, nearby the rail station. A privileged access created for you.

In the afternoon take the train back to Ollantaytambo station. After arrival you transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 13

CUSCO – LIMA B / - / -

In the morning take a tour of the city, starting out at the Santo Domingo convent monastery. This former Colonial monastery was previously the Koricancha Temple, one of the most important temples devoted to worship of the sun. According to the chronicles, it was covered in gold Leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. Also included in the tour are stops at the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. After touring the most interesting sites of the city, you will be driven to the countryside outside Cusco to visit some of the remarkable Inca ruins in the area. Included are the Cult Center of Sacsayhuaman, the Temple and Amphitheater of Kenko, and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.
